Obverse description First laureate and draped bust of King William III facing right, rendered in high relief with finely detailed laurel wreath and flowing wig of long curled hair. The king's effigy is shown truncated at the shoulder with a classically draped mantle. The peripheral Latin legend is divided by the portrait and reads around the full circumference of the coin, with a border of fine milled denticles at the rim.
