Reverse description Central device depicts the St. Edward's Crown in high relief, surmounted by an orb and cross, with a 1 mm inset diamond set into the centre of the crown's band as a distinctive jubilee embellishment. Radiating from behind the crown is an engraved geometric facet pattern evoking the cut surfaces of a diamond, filling the entire mirror-polished field of the diamond-shaped flan. Below the crown, the royal cypher EIIR appears in raised lettering, with the denomination 1/2 CROWN inscribed beneath in two lines, and the Pobjoy Mint mark PM at the base of the design.
