Obverse description Bare-headed effigy of Queen Isabella II facing right, her hair dressed in an elaborate braided chignon falling to the nape of the neck with a long plait descending behind, rendered in fine relief against a plain field. The portrait is encircled by a continuous beaded border. The peripheral legend reads ISABEL II POR LA GRACIA DE DIOS Y LA CONST., with the date flanked by small six-pointed stars positioned in the lower exergual area.
