| Reverse description | The reverse presents the denomination '1/2' in large numerals above the central round hole, with the legend 'CENT' in bold capitals occupying the lower field. Flanking the central perforation on both sides is a richly detailed decorative motif of rice stalks with pendant grain heads, rendered in high relief in an Art Nouveau-inspired style evoking the agricultural character of French Indochina. The circular legend 'INDOCHINE' arcs along the left periphery and 'FRANCAISE' along the right periphery, together identifying the issuing territory. The field is otherwise plain, with the design elements concentrating around the central hole. |
