Reverse description The central round hole is framed by a graceful olive or grain sprig wreath rising symmetrically from a tied base at the lower field. The denomination '1/2' appears to the left of the central hole and 'CENT' to the right, the latter enclosed within a stylized cartouche. The two-line legend 'INDOCHINE / FRANÇAISE' arcs across the upper field in bold raised letters. The date '1939' is placed in the lower exergue flanked by small decorative stops. A rope-style beaded rim defines the outer border, consistent with the obverse.
