The king's truncated bust is depicted with fine detail in the robes and facial features. Reverse description Central design featuring an upright Ceylon palm tree (Caryota urens) set within a circular border, flanked by the denomination '1/2' in Arabic numerals. Surrounding the inner circle, the inscription 'CEYLON · HALF · CENT' appears in Latin lettering at the top, with the date below, and Sinhalese (සතය) and Tamil (சதம்) script denominations completing the legend.
