Obverse description The full Coat of Arms of Rhodesia occupies the central field, featuring a quartered shield supported by a sable antelope on the left and a kudu on the right, each standing on a grassy mound. Above the shield rises a helmet with a crest depicting the Zimbabwe Bird. A scroll at the base bears the motto legend SIT NOMINE DIGNA in raised Latin lettering, divided across two ribbon panels flanking the base of the shield. The engraver's initials T.S. appear in the lower field, and the design is framed by a continuous beaded border.
