| Reverse description | A bold cross potent divides the field into four quarters, each containing alternating castles and lions passant guardant representing the arms of Castile and León. The date 1736 appears prominently in the upper field, and the circular legend +S+HISPANIARUM+REX+S+ runs around the periphery within a milled border. A large irregular trefoil-shaped central cutout, characteristic of the Martinique Type II countermark, has been punched through the center of the cross, removing a portion of the design. |
