| Reverse description | The reverse displays a four-line Arabic-script legend filling the field, struck in the characteristic style of the Tiflis Mint. The inscription records the mint name (Tiflis), the term for copper coinage (fulus), and the AH date 1162 (= AD 1749). The lettering is bold and deeply impressed into the flan, though the irregular hammered strike produces some flattening and doubling toward the periphery. The overall composition reflects the influence of Persian-Safavid monetary tradition on Georgian coinage of this era. |
