Reverse description Central field features the Imperial double-headed eagle of the Holy Roman Empire, with wings spread, each head crowned, and a rounded orb-bearing escutcheon on the breast. Above the eagle appears the imperial triple crown. The surrounding Latin legend reads RVDOL. Z IMP. AVG. P F DEC Z, acknowledging Rudolf II as August Emperor. The design is rendered in the bold, somewhat crude relief typical of hammered small coinage of the period.
