| Additional information |
Maximilian I died in January 1519, making this one of the final issues struck in his name before news of his death could halt production at St. Veit. Görz had passed definitively to Habsburg control in 1500 upon the death of Count Leonard, the last of the Görz line, so by 1519 the county's mint was operating entirely within the Habsburg administrative framework — yet still issuing under local authority and place-name, a transitional arrangement that would not survive the decade.
