Reverse description The denomination and date are displayed in three lines across the center of the field: the fraction 1/2 on the uppermost line, BATZEN on the second line, and the date 1809 on the lowest line, all in bold serif capitals. The central inscription is encircled by a wreath of oak leaves tied at the base with a ribbon bow, the branches meeting at the top above a small cluster of dots. A toothed border frames the entire reverse, consistent with the milled production technique.
