Reverse description The denomination is inscribed in three lines across the central field, reading MEZO BAIOC CO, within a wreath of laurel branches tied at the base. The date 1696 appears below the wreath, in the lower exergual area. The wreath is rendered in a naturalistic style consistent with Gubbio mint production of the period. A beaded inner border runs along the coin's periphery.
