Reverse description Central motif of a royal white elephant standing in profile to the left within an ornate circular frame composed of intertwined foliate scrollwork and a beaded outer border. The elephant, a traditional symbol of the Thai monarchy and royal power, is rendered in fine relief against a plain field. A Thai legend is inscribed around the periphery, denoting the realm and denomination. The reverse design exemplifies the classical Siamese numismatic tradition of the Rama IV period.
