| Obverse description | The obverse presents an entirely epigraphic design in Devanagari script, with no figurative elements. Three lines of bold raised legend fill the central field: the topmost line reads 'Chitrakut' (the mint epithet), the middle line reads 'Udaipur' (seat of the Mewar state), and the lower line reads 'Aadh Ana' (half anna, denoting the denomination). The legends are enclosed within a fine inner border of repeating dentils that runs around the full circumference, with a plain raised rim beyond. |
