Obverse description Central device comprises a quartered heraldic shield displaying the Prussian eagle and the Gelderland lion in opposing quarters, supported by two rampant lions as shield-bearers. The escutcheon is surmounted by an elaborate royal crown with prominent arched bands and floral ornaments. The date 1719 and the mintmaster's initials HFH appear divided in the field to either side of the crown. No peripheral legend is present; the design fills the flan within a plain border.
