Reverse description Reverse of this small hammered silver coin displays a two-line Devanagari inscription centrally positioned within the plain field. The upper line reads 'दोस्ती' (Dosti, meaning 'friendship') and the lower line reads 'लंदन' (London), a formulaic reference reflecting Mewar's treaty relationship with the British Crown. The legends are struck in bold Nagari script on an irregular planchet with a plain, unworked edge, consistent with the hand-hammered production methods of the Udaipur mint during the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.
