Obverse description Central field features a stylized fish motif rendered in the traditional Nawabi artistic style, flanked by a crescent or arc device to the left and a cluster of pellets arranged in a triangular grouping to the right. The design elements are characteristic of the small hammered coinage of the Kingdom of Awadh, with the flat, irregular flan typical of the denomination. The field is uneven due to the hand-struck technique, with the devices occupying most of the available surface.
