Reverse description A tree divides the central field, serving as the primary design element. The denomination is inscribed on either side of the tree trunk in the center of the field. A curved legend occupies the upper portion of the field, while the lower area bears the fineness expressed in reales and granos alongside the assayer's initials, all struck in a clean, utilitarian style characteristic of Central American republican coinage of the mid-nineteenth century.
