Obverse description Central field bears the Arabic dynastic legend of the Asaf Jah rulers of Hyderabad, rendered in bold, deeply struck Naskh-style script. The inscription reads 'Asaf Jah Nizam al-Mulk', identifying the ruling house. The lettering fills the flan with characteristic flowing strokes typical of Hyderabad gold coinage. The small flan and high relief of the script give the obverse a compact, densely inscribed appearance. No border ornament or decorative device is present beyond the tightly arranged legend.
