Obverse description A crowned bear, the heraldic beast of Anhalt-Bernburg, strides vigorously to the left atop a section of crenellated stone wall rendered in fine relief. The animal is depicted with naturalistic detail, its crowned head raised and forelegs extended in a walking pose. The surrounding legend PERRVMPENDVM (meaning 'it must be broken through') arcs along the upper periphery within a beaded border. The design occupies the full field, with the wall forming a bold horizontal base element characteristic of the Anhalt coinage tradition.

Reverse description The reverse bears a five-line central inscription stating the denomination and date: '12 / EINEN / REICHS / THALER / 1757', with the mintmaster's initials IGS below. The surrounding circular legend reads FVRSTL. ANHALT. BERNBVRG. LANDMVNTZ, arranged around the periphery within a beaded border. The text is cleanly struck in a bold, upright serif typeface typical of mid-eighteenth-century German milled coinage. The overall design is purely typographic with no figural elements on the reverse.
