The cypher is surmounted by a princely crown. Below the cypher, the mintmaster's initials G.H.E. appear in the lower field. The circular Latin legend surrounding the design reads FVRST. SACHS. SAALFELD. MVNZ., denoting the princely Saxon Saalfeld mint authority. The coin is struck with a milled border. |
