| Reverse description | Central field displays the denomination 1/12 ANNA in three stacked lines, followed by INDIA and the date 1939, all contained within an ornate wreath of stylised foliate and floral vine scrollwork with oak-like leaves and berries forming a decorative inner border. A fine beaded inner circle frames the central inscriptions, with a denticular outer border running along the coin's rim. The overall design retains the traditional decorative style established for British Indian coinage of the period. |
