The Isle of Man's annual cat coin program, running continuously since 1988, is one of the longest-lived bullion series of its kind from a British Crown Dependency. The 2002 issue featured the Bengal — a breed only formally recognized by TICA in 1986, making it among the most recently established breeds to appear in the series at that point. The Manx Treasury contracted Pobjoy Mint for much of this program's production run.
