The Banque des États de l'Afrique Centrale serves six CFA franc member states simultaneously — Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, Republic of Congo, Equatorial Guinea, and Gabon — which means a single signature change on a shared note creates a distinct catalogued variety. The three signature combinations here reflect successive terms of the governor's office, with Aleka-Rybert holding the co-signatory position across all three variants while the opposing signature rotated through Mamalepot, Andzembe, and Abaga-Nchama.
BEAC notes of this period were printed by the Banque de France's printing works at Chamalières.
