Comments

Abdoulaye Fadiga served as Governor of the BCEAO from 1975 to 1988, making him the constant signature across nearly the entire run of this series — a span of political turnover across eight member states during which the left-hand signatory changed six times. His replacement, Alassane Ouattara, would later serve as Prime Minister of Côte d'Ivoire and eventually President, making the 1989–1990 signature combination unusually notable in retrospect.

The sheer number of signature combinations under a single Pick number makes date and signature attribution the primary variable for collectors of this type. The 1984 Algabid pairing is among the more sought, as Hamid Algabid's tenure as Niger's Prime Minister followed shortly after.
