No Russian Federation legal tender coin of one million roubles denominated in Putin's name was issued in 2015. Russia did produce novelty or fantasy strike pieces — privately minted tokens bearing political figures — that circulated in the collectibles market without any official sanction from the Bank of Russia. These are not coins in any numismatic or legal sense.
The Bank of Russia's commemorative program in 2015 topped out at 1,000 roubles in gold. Anything beyond that denomination from this period warrants immediate scrutiny of provenance.
