| Obverse description | The obverse of this Notgeld emergency issue presents a portrait vignette at left of a historical male figure in dark woodcut-style engraving, set within an ornate letterpress border with decorative corner elements. The central text panel carries the original denomination 'Zehntausend Mark' in gothic script, with the issuing authority inscription 'zahlt die Kreiskommunalkasse des Kreises Rendsburg gegen Einlieferung dieses Gutscheins' and the date 'Rendsburg, 25.11.1923'; a bold blue overprint reading '1 Million' is applied diagonally across the face to indicate the revalued denomination. To the right, a separate panel bears the serial number, the overprinted value '1000000 Mk.' in blue, an ornate circular seal of the Kreisausschuß Rendsburg, and the series letter 'S'. |

| Reverse description | The reverse retains the original 10 000 Mark design, with a large central vignette of a rampant heraldic lion in green and ochre tones beside a stylised compass-star or sun motif, the denomination '10 000 MARK' arranged around the image in bold gothic lettering. A blue overprint '1000000' is applied across the central vignette to indicate the surcharge value, and the value '1000000 Mk.' is printed in blue in the upper left and lower left corners. The left margin carries a gothic-script text panel advising that the note loses validity one month after public notice of recall by the Kreisausschuß, and the printer imprint 'Druck: C. Handorff Kiel' appears at the lower centre. |
