| Obverse description | Cream paper letterpress note enclosed within a sawtooth-rule border; to the right, a large vignette renders a bearded Renaissance-era male figure in three-quarter view, wearing a fur-trimmed collar and plumed cap. The left field carries the denomination "Eine Million Mark" in bold Gothic type, with the issuing authority, date of 13 August 1923, and three facsimile signatures of the Kreisausschuß below. The numeral "1 000 000" is repeated three times along the lower margin. |
