| Obverse description | The obverse is the face of the original 100 Mark Gutschein issued by G. M. Pfaff, Nähmaschinenfabrik, Kaiserslautern, printed on a light blue-grey guilloche underprint with the PFAFF sewing machine vignette appearing in circular medallions at upper left and upper right. The original denomination "100 Mark" is printed in large red numerals within a rectangular frame at upper centre, with the text "Einhundert Mark" in bold black letterpress below; a large red PFAFF logo vignette with sewing machine motif appears centrally. The entire face has been overprinted diagonally with a bold blue countermark reading "Gut für Eine Million Mark" and additional redemption text, revaluing the note to One Million Mark valid until 15 September 1923. |

| Reverse description | The reverse of the original 100 Mark Gutschein displays the same light blue-grey guilloche underprint as the face, with the validity clause "Dieser Gutschein verliert seine Gültigkeit am 15. Dezember 1922" printed in small black letterpress along the upper margin and the redemption instruction "Zahlbar bei der Bayerischen Staatsbank in Kaiserslautern" along the lower margin. A large red "100 Mark" numeral overprint occupies the centre of the field. The entire reverse has additionally received the bold blue diagonal countermark "Gut für Eine Million Mark" with full redemption text referring to the Süddeutsche Disconto-Gesellschaft A.G. Kaiserslautern, valid until 15 September 1923. |
