| Obverse description | Plain cream-coloured note of typeset letterpress construction with no vignette or guilloche underprint. An oval official stamp of the Amtshauptmannschaft Stollberg bearing the Saxon coat of arms is struck at top centre, while the denomination '1.000 000 Mark' appears in bold type at upper right and the serial number in perforated numerals at upper left. The central text, printed in German blackletter and Roman typefaces, names the Commerz- und Privatbank AG, Zweigstelle Stollberg i. Erzgeb. as the paying institution and reads 'Eine Million Mark' in large display type. At lower left the issue date '9. August 1923' is printed, accompanied by two handwritten official signatures above the designations 'Kassenführer' and 'Rechnungsführer', and a rectangular violet official rubber stamp of the S. Amtshauptmannschaft Stollberg. |
