| Obverse description | Brown letterpress Notgeld on plain paper with an elaborate geometric border composed of diamond-shaped panels containing industrial and civic vignettes — including an anchor, a mine cart, a lion, and stylized floral motifs — framed by circular corner medallions bearing a three-armed wheel device. The central text panel carries the denomination "Eine Million Mark" in large Fraktur type, with a green guilloche underprint showing the numeral "1000000"; above and below the central panel, green numerals "1 000 000" appear on ribbon banners. Date of issue "Bochum, den 1.
