| Obverse description | The obverse is framed by an elaborate scrollwork border in a Baroque ornamental style, printed in pink and grey tones. At the top centre, the municipal coat of arms of Benrath — a crowned lion above a stylised castle — is flanked by the issuer inscription 'Gemeinde' and 'Benrath' in bold serif lettering. The central field carries a fine guilloche underprint in pink and blue, over which the denomination 'Eine Million Mark' is printed in large Gothic script, with a serial number positioned in the lower right corner. |
