Obverse description Multicolour vignette on cream stock, printed in vivid offset colours. The left and centre fields display a large bouquet of peony blossoms in red and pink with lush green foliage, beneath a flying phoenix in the sky, with a serial number cartouche at left reading L/A 1089. To the right, a full-colour portrait of the Jade Emperor (玉皇大帝) in imperial court robes and beaded crown, set within a luminous golden halo, flanked by ornate foliate scrollwork and stylised bird motifs at the margins. The lower border carries the bank title inscription in red on a rust-coloured band, with bilingual legends in Chinese and English below.

Reverse description Printed entirely in red ink on cream paper in a fine letterpress style. The central vignette presents an idealized celestial landscape with rugged mountain peaks, a multi-tiered pagoda tower on a distant summit, traditional pavilions and an arched stone bridge over a river in the middle ground, and a large multi-storey palace tower to the right surrounded by peony blossoms. Three cranes in flight animate the foreground waters. A dragon motif occupies the upper-left corner, and an ornate repeating border frames all four edges. Denomination numerals appear at lower left and upper right.
