| Obverse description | Multicolour vignette on cream stock, printed in vivid offset colours. The left and centre fields display a large bouquet of peony blossoms in red and pink with lush green foliage, beneath a flying phoenix in the sky, with a serial number cartouche at left reading L/A 1089. To the right, a full-colour portrait of the Jade Emperor (玉皇大帝) in imperial court robes and beaded crown, set within a luminous golden halo, flanked by ornate foliate scrollwork and stylised bird motifs at the margins. The lower border carries the bank title inscription in red on a rust-coloured band, with bilingual legends in Chinese and English below. |
