| Obverse description | Typographically bold Notgeld note printed in black and yellow on cream paper. A large ornate blackletter initial 'E' with geometric hatching anchors the left half, beside which the denomination 'Eine Milliarde Mark' is set in elaborate Fraktur script over a yellow guilloche underprint reading 'MILLIARDE'. Issue text, series designation 'SERIE A', and the mayor's manuscript signature appear in the lower portion; validity and circulation conditions are printed vertically in a yellow border at left. |
