| Obverse description | Cream-toned note printed in dark brown letterpress with a pale rose-violet fibre underprint at right. The heading "REICHSBANKNOTE" and a red serial number appear at the top, below which the denomination "Eine Billion Mark" is set in large Gothic blackletter script; a vertical anti-counterfeiting warning legend runs along the left margin, and the central text block states the payment obligation of the Reichsbankhauptkasse in Berlin, dated 1. November 1923. At the foot, two circular Reichsbankdirektorium eagle seals flank a block of twelve facsimile signatures, with the bold numeral "1000 MILLIARDEN" at the lower right. |
