The Zero Pound Note Company produces these as licensed novelty items — legally unambiguous souvenirs that exploit the longstanding British tradition of "educational" zero-denomination notes first popularized by the Bank of England's own promotional issues. Oberthur Fiduciaire, a serious security printer whose client list includes central banks across Africa, Asia, and Europe, brings genuine banknote production techniques to what is essentially a gift-shop product. The contrast is worth noting.
