EuroScope MEMO notes are educational novelty items produced for the European market, designed to familiarize the public with euro security features without reproducing legal tender. Enschedé's involvement is not incidental — the Haarlem firm prints actual euro banknotes for the European Central Bank, and using them to produce the MEMO series lends the exercise genuine instructional weight. The features demonstrated are real, not simulated.
The Brugge edition is one of several city-themed releases in the 2019 run.
