EuroSouvenir's 0 Euro program has issued well over a thousand regional and cultural titles since launching in 2015, printed by Oberthur Fiduciaire under security banknote specifications — watermark, serial number, UV-reactive ink — despite carrying no legal tender status anywhere. The Vinho do Porto edition targets the Porto tourist trade, where these notes are typically sold at a markup of three to five euros in gift shops and wine cellars along the Douro waterfront.

Collectible value is driven almost entirely by print run size, which EuroSouvenir does not always disclose publicly. Limited regional issues have sold for multiples of face on the secondary market; broadly distributed titles rarely do.
