Louis de Funès died in 1983, and the museum dedicated to him — housed in the Château de Clermont in Saint-Raphaël — opened decades later, turning his personal collection of costumes, scripts, and memorabilia into a regional attraction. The Euro Souvenir program, administered under ECB authorization, permits these zero-denomination notes as legal-format collectibles; Oberthur Fiduciaire prints them to full banknote specification, which is why the paper and security features are indistinguishable from circulating issues.
De Funès remains France's most commercially successful comic actor, his films still generating consistent theatrical reruns and streaming revenue well into the 2020s.
