The large numeral '0' occupies the left field, flanked by the EU flag and a ring of gold stars; his papal motto 'HUMILITAS' appears at the foot. Series code '2022-4' and the inscription 'IOANNES PAULUS PP. I' with his pontificate dates (26 AGOSTO 1978 – 03 SETTEMBRE 1978) complete the design. |
