Mundl — the abrasive, bigoted Viennese everyman from the 1970s Austrian television series Ein echter Wiener geht nicht unter — became one of the most recognizable figures in postwar Austrian popular culture, largely through Karl Merkatz's performance across eight seasons. The EuroSouvenir program issues these zero-denomination collector notes under license as tourist and novelty items; they carry genuine security features printed by Oberthur Fiduciaire but hold no legal tender status anywhere. The hologram strip is standard to the program, not specific to this subject.
