Souvenir zero-euro notes have been issued under the EuroSouvenir program since 2015, printed by Oberthur Fiduciaire to the same security specifications as genuine euro currency — same paper, same holograms, same serial numbering. They are legal in the sense that no fraud is possible: the face value is zero. Lorient's Cité de la Voile Éric Tabarly is a sailing museum named for the French offshore racing legend who won the 1964 and 1976 OSTAR transatlantic races and died at sea off the Welsh coast in 1998.
The Flore (S645) is a Daphné-class submarine moored at the museum as a permanent exhibit since 2001.
