Souvenir euros have been produced under the Euro Souvenir Programme since 2012 — legal novelties rather than legal tender, issued in denominations of zero precisely to avoid triggering EU monetary regulations. Oberthur Fiduciaire prints them to banknote specification, same security substrate, same intaglio feel, which is the whole point of the commercial proposition.

Les Carrières de Lumières at Les Baux-de-Provence is a disused limestone quarry in the Alpilles converted into an immersive projection venue. The Cézanne edition ties to their rotating programme of large-scale light shows — this one dedicated to the Post-Impressionist painter whose studio was barely forty kilometres away in Aix-en-Provence.
