Part of the EuroSouvenir program, which has issued hundreds of themed 0 Euro notes across Europe since 2015 — all legal tender in the strictest technical sense under ECB rules, though no central bank will ever honor one in practice. Oberthur Fiduciaire prints them to full banknote security specification, including the proper substrate, which is why they feel authentic rather than decorative.

Meersburg is one of the better-preserved medieval towns on the Bodensee's northern shore, and the oldest continuously inhabited castle in Germany sits there — Burg Meersburg, with documented occupation stretching back to the 7th century.
