Oberthur Fiduciaire, one of the major security printers behind actual euro banknote production, handles the series — which gives these pieces genuine security features including UV-reactive ink and microprinting, not decorative approximations of them.
The FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 theme is an odd pairing with Australian imagery, given Australia's early group-stage elimination that tournament — though the Socceroos did upset Denmark to advance, their best result in years.
