Lluçà is a tiny municipality in the Osona comarca of Catalonia, and like hundreds of similarly small towns, it issued its own fractional emergency currency during the Spanish Civil War — the Catalans called these notes moneda de paper. The Turró catalogue documents thousands of such issues; most were printed on whatever stock was locally available, which is why card stock appears so frequently across the smaller denominations.

The Ajuntament de Lluçà's half-peseta issue is among the more obscure entries in Turró, reflecting a municipality with a population that even then numbered only in the hundreds.
