Agramón is a pedanía — a rural administrative subdivision — of Hellín, in the province of Albacete. During the Spanish Civil War, the near-total collapse of small-denomination coinage prompted hundreds of municipalities, cooperatives, and local committees across Republican Spain to issue their own emergency fractional paper. Agramón was among the smallest communities to do so, which makes any surviving example genuinely unusual; print runs at this level were typically tiny and the notes were used hard before redemption or destruction.
Gari's cataloguing of these local Civil War emissions remains the primary reference, though valuations shift frequently as collections surface.
