Obverse description Uniformed military bust of King Vittorio Emanuele III facing right, wearing a steel combat helmet, the truncation signed G. ROMAGNOLI. The encircling legend in Latin reads VITT·EM·III RE E IMP·MBRET E PER·, denoting his titles as King of Italy and Emperor of Ethiopia, King of Albania, in both Italian and Albanian abbreviations.

Reverse description A displayed double-headed eagle with spread wings occupies the centre of the field, flanked on each side by a fasces (lictor's bundle with axe), the Fascist symbol of authority. The legend SHQIPNI appears at the top of the field; the denomination LEK 0,20 and the country name ALBANIA are inscribed in large characters in the lower field.
