| Obverse description | The obverse features the denomination '0,20' in large numerals dominating the central field, with a map of Italy in outline superimposed across the numeral area. Above the main denomination, the conversion figure '387,25' is inscribed in a smaller script within a rectangular panel at the top. A '.999' purity hallmark appears in a cartouche at the lower center of the field. The overall design is set within a scalloped or multi-sided inner border, though the coin itself is round. |

Miglianico is a small comune in the Chieti province whose medieval castle, the Castello Cantelmo, gives the municipality its principal claim to historical note. This piece belongs to the wave of Italian local silver issues produced in 1999 ahead of the euro changeover — municipalities and regions commissioning commemorative silver as a form of civic documentation before the lira disappeared entirely.
